Timothy L. Towell

Timothy L. Towell is a Foreign Service veteran with postings over three decades in Europe and South America. From 1988-1991, he was the US Ambassador to Paraguay. Ambassador Towell also has held positions in embassies and consulates in Belgium, Brazil, Bolivia, Cuba and Spain as well as in the Department of State. From 1991-1993, Ambassador Towell was Director for Africa at the Peace Corps. He earned a B.A. from Yale in 1957 and an M.A. from Case-Western Reserve University in 1962.
