Luncheon with Albanian President Ilir Meta

On February 7, 2020, the Council of American Ambassadors hosted His Excellency Ilir Meta, President of Albania, for a luncheon discussion with Council members and Albania's Ambassador to the United States, Her Excellency Floreta Faber, in preparation for the Council's Spring Mission to the Balkans. Discussion topics included Albania's EU accession talks, growing US-Albanian relations, and Albania's reconstruction efforts after a devasting earthquake last November. This May, the Council will send a delegation to Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Greece on a fact-finding mission.
